A regional athlete is coming home with a gold medal and a world championship.
Peterborough’s Wyatt Wiggins and his Team Canada teammates are returning home from South Korea and the U20 Lacrosse World Championships.
For the first time, Canada was victorious, winning 6-5 and snapping the United States’ incredible run of nine gold medals.
They defeated the Americans in the final
Wiggins attends Harvard, where he plays for the Crimson.
Wyatt’s grandparents are Jewel and Wayne Wiggins and they call Bancroft home.
