Police have seized drugs and a weapon after an arrest in Stirling.
On Monday, shortly before 2 p.m., Central Hastings OPP officers responded to a call for suspicious behaviour in Stirling.
Officers found a man who had an arrest warrant from elsewhere in the province.
The man was arrested and a search found a handgun, cocaine, and that the man was wearing a bulletproof vest.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed by OPP officers at an apartment on West Front Street in Stirling.
Christopher Foster, a 42-year-old from Foxboro, has been charged with:
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
- Driving while under suspension
- Using a plate not authorized for a vehicle
- Failing to comply with an undertaking
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
