Two residents of Belleville are among those facing charges after drugs were found in a stuffed animal in Kingston.
Earlier this month, the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs in the city.
On August 13, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Weller Avenue where they seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl hidden inside a stuffed animal.
Investigators also discovered packaging materials and a digital scale inside the residence.
A 38-year-old and a 40-year-old, both from Belleville, along with a 49-year-old Kingston individual were arrested and each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Kingston police say the seizure underscores the continued distribution of fentanyl and other harmful substances into the community and that they remain committed to identifying and arresting those responsible for drug trafficking and firearms-related offences within the city.
