The City of Quinte West has announced it has launched free public Wi-Fi in select parks, public spaces and facilities.
Public Wi-Fi is available at more than 13 locations throughout Quinte West including Centennial Park, Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens and Mount Pelion.
In a release, the city says that the public Wi-Fi project helps support the city’s broader goals to improve municipal connectivity and digital access.
It was identified as a priority by the city’s Community Safety and Well-being Plan.
“Launching public Wi-Fi access is another step forward in making Quinte West more connected and accessible for everyone,” says Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison in a release.
“Whether you’re working remotely at the park, attending a city event or just out for a walk, having access to free Wi-Fi helps people stay in touch and informed.”
More on the public Wi-Fi project as well as the list of locations can be found at the City of Quinte West’s website.
