A former Quinte Red Devil and his national teammates are off to a good start at the Hlinka/Gretzky U18 tournament in Czechia
J.C. Lemieux and Canada began the tournament Monday, with a 5-3 win over Finland.
The Canucks outshot the Finns 37-25 in the game.
Canada plays the Swiss at 9:30 a.m. our time Tuesday.
In his rookie season with the Windsor Spitfires, Lemieux had 19 points and last season won a gold medal at the World U17 Hockey Challenge.
