It was not just a national championship for a Napanee Express team over the weekend, but gold for a provincial title as well.
The U13 Express won the A-All Ontario Championships on Sunday.
After falling to Ayr (8-4) early in the day, Napanee had to win a semi-final against Norwich (7-0), booking another showdown against Ayr for the title.
The Express would win the championship game 9-5.
