Artificial intelligence will never solve authentic stupidity.
Sunday evening before 8 o’clock, Centre Hastings firefighters were called to a brush fire along Douglas Road, south of Crookston.
It’s believed the fire was started by fireworks or a cigarette butt.
Meanwhile, just in the past few days, Quinte West firefighters have been called out to douse three grass fires along Highway 401.
Fire Chief John Whalen tells Quinte News all three were set by people tossing cigarette butts out of vehicles on the highway.
A total fire ban is in place in most communities in the Quinte region.
