A Belleville man is facing charges for assault after an incident in the city’s east end.
On Tuesday, officers responded to a call at a local business. After speaking to a woman there, they were told that a male suspect assaulted the woman and took her belongings.
As a result of their investigation, a 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and mischief under $5000.
The suspect was released on an undertaking with a court date set in September.
