On Tuesday, Lennox and Addington OPP and the Quinte West TIME Team were on Hwy 7 in Kaladar conducting level one inspections on commercial motor vehicles.
Multiple charges were issued, and one vehicle was taken out of service for improper class of driver’s licence.
In Ontario, a Class G driver’s licence allows you to operate vehicles with a maximum weight of 11,000 kilograms (24,250 lbs).
If you’re towing a trailer, the trailer’s weight is also limited to 4,600 kilograms (10,141 lbs), and the combined weight of the vehicle and trailer cannot exceed 11,000 kilograms.
