Eighteen-year-old Belleville native Aiden Crawford has won a bronze medal at the Bell Canadian National Under 20 Track and Field Championships in Ottawa.
Crawford, an Eastside Secondary School graduate and member of the Quinte Legion Lynx Track Club finished third in discus.
That was followed by a fourth in shot put and a fifth in javelin.
Crawford will attend Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg Maryland this year.
Josh Thomas placed fourth with a leap of 1.96m in U20 men’s high jump. Sydney Johnson placed sixth in U20 women’s discus with a throw of 37.93m and Isla Bibby rounded out the Lynx results placing ninth vaulting 3.15m in U20 women’s pole vault.
Thomas, Johnson, and Bibby along with Hudson Brown and Charlee Sage, will compete at the Athletics Canada U16-U18 Canadian Legion Nationals in Calgary, Alberta next week.
