Two local groups have organized a candlelight vigil and overnight sit-in in Belleville on Wednesday August 6.
The event by Amnesty International Quinte and Belleville for Justice and Peace is meant to bring attention
to the plight of the many Palestinian children starving in war-torn Gaza.
There will be walks, poems, and talks at the vigil which will run from 6 p.m. until midnight in Market Square.
People are encouraged to bring an LED candle to the event.
