A public open house is scheduled to take place tonight at Quinte West council chambers looking at affordable housing plans for the former College Street School site in Trenton.
The development proposal, known as George Street Village, calls for two 42-unit apartment buildings.
One of the buildings would be reserved for seniors.
Four local resident groups are behind the plan including All-Together Affordable Housing Corporation, Connect Quinte Affordable Housing Corporation, Springale Development Inc, and NOW Development Group.
The almost three-acre property is vacant and still owned by the city.
Preliminary building site plans and exterior/unit design renderings, along with information about unit rental costs and amenities, will be provided at the open house.
It goes from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
