The Quinte West man convicted of dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death will be sentenced on August 22nd.
On October 3 of 2021 an SUV driven by Aysar Younes, 23 at the time, crossed the centre line on Old Highway 2 near CFB Trenton colliding head-on with a car, killing 22 year-old Rebecca Beatty of Quinte West and 23 year-old Anastasia Collins of Belleville.
Younes had been at a cottage party north of Kingston the night before, a party involving the consumption of alcohol and cocaine.
The collision occurred in the midday.
