It has been seven years since Robert Lambert went missing from his home in Montague Township, near Smiths Falls. A $50,000 reward is now available for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
On Friday, November 30, 2018, members of Lanark County OPP received a report of a missing person who had not been seen since early July 2018.
Despite an extensive investigation and numerous searches, there has been no trace of Robert Lambert, who was 75 years of age when he went missing. Prior to his disappearance, Lambert required assistance to travel and needed medication on a regular basis. In 2018, investigators were told that he had travelled to the United States, but there was no record of him crossing the border.
The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is overseeing the investigation by the Lanark County OPP Crime Unit, as foul play cannot be ruled out in the disappearance.
Robert Lambert is described as:
- 6’3″ tall
- Medium build
- White hair
- Brown eyes
A photograph of Lambert is attached, and a new video has been published on the OPP East Region social media platforms, including OPP East Region X (@OPP_ ER), Facebook (OPPEast) and Instagram (@opp_east).
Anyone with information regarding Lambert’s disappearance or whereabouts should contact the Lanark County OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
