Belleville police executed a pair of controlled substances warrants in Belleville’s west end, as part of project renewal, making multiple arrests and seizing drugs.
Police seized 10.2 grams of suspected cocaine, 65.4 grams of suspected fentanyl, four cell phones, and $189.50 in Canadian currency.
Three people were charged as a result of the investigation.
Chris Baker, a 59-year-old Belleville man, was charged with possession of fentanyl and cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5000
Brittney Bichener, a 34-year-old Belleville woman, was charged with possession of fentanyl and cocaine for the purposes of trafficking.
Drew Smith, a 62-year -old Belleville man, was charged with possession cocaine for the purposes of trafficking.
Baker and Bichener were held for a bail hearing, while Smith was released with a court date set for September.
