The City of Belleville is making some updates to their noise by-law.
The updated by-law was created under the guidance of the By-law Review Ad Hoc Committee who had been tasked with reviewing and updating several municipal by-laws.
After gathering feedback from the community on the former Noise By-law, the committee made several changes which include language changes to improve clarity, a new noise reporting package for reporting disturbances, and changes to requirements for noise exemption permits.
