The Children’s Foundation announces Ingrid Moore will be stepping into the role of executive director effective August 18, 2025. TCF Board Chair Jack Miller says the board is sad to see current Executive Director Melanie Cressman leave as she takes over the reins of the Humane Society – Hastings and Prince Edward, but notes that it will be a smooth and seamless transition. “We are fortunate that Melanie is staying on to help guide Ingrid Moore as she embarks on this new role,” says Miller. “As a board, it is never easy to lose a valued leader like Melanie.
Foundation Board Vice Chair Sarah Rozema-Seaton says, “Ingrid Moore is a familiar name to many as she was the voice of morning radio in this region for over 25 years. As the new Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation, Ingrid brings a great sense of community, and with her background in fundraising and government relations we know she will continue advancing the important work of this organization.”
“I’ve seen the meaningful impact this organization has on local children and youth,” Moore says. “As a long-time emcee for Reach for Success, gala chair, and past board member, I’ve witnessed how bursaries and scholarships can open doors. Over the years, families have shared with me just how much it meant to send a child to camp or provide opportunities, like music or sports lessons, that might otherwise have been out of reach. The Children’s Foundation has truly enriched my connection to this community, and I’m excited to be stepping into this role.”
The Children’s Foundation offers special programming and education opportunities to kids and families in Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland counties.
