A Colborne resident is facing weapons-related charges after police responded to an incident on Telephone Road in the Township of Cramahe.
Members of Northumberland OPP were called to a home following a report of a dispute just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, with concerns that firearms may be involved.
When officers arrived, they located several rifles and shotguns that were being stored in an unsafe manner.
Seventy-four-year-old Murray Davey of Colborne was taken into custody and charged with careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – six counts
Firearms and ammunition were seized.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September.
