Quinte Health has announced that the Code Grey situation impacting its systems for the past two days has now been resolved.
The organization overseeing the Quinte region’s four hospitals, Belleville General Hospital, North Hastings Hospital, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital, says it is now in the process of rescheduling appointments that were affected by the outage.
“Our booking team is working diligently to contact patients and reschedule all diagnostic imaging appointments that were cancelled over the past two days,” Quinte Health says in a release.
“If you were impacted by a cancelled appointment, please expect to hear from our booking team shortly.”
Only one surgery was cancelled due to the system failure, and that procedure has been rebooked.
“I am incredibly proud of the teamwork and resilience shown by everyone at Quinte Health,” said Stacey Daub, President and CEO, in the release.
“Each team member, from IT to our clinical and non-clinical staff, stepped up in ways that truly reflect our commitment to patient care. Their adaptability, dedication, and problem-solving have been nothing short of inspiring. This is the heart of who we are as an organization – stronger together, supporting one another and continuing to deliver care to our community.”
