A cyclist has been seriously injured after a Tuesday morning crash involving a motor vehicle in Quinte West.
The incident, on County Road 64 between Barcovan Beach Road and Carter Road, disrupted traffic for several hours.
First responders found an 87-year-old cyclist had been hurt. The man was transported to hospital with serious and potentially life-altering injuries.
Additionally, Quinte West OPP have charged a man from Carrying Place, after he drove into the accident scene while the road was closed. He was charged with driving on a closed highway.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam video, and has not spoken with officers, is asked to call the Quinte West OPP.
