A female is facing more than 60 charges after she was located in a stolen vehicle in Oshawa.
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, members of Central East Community Response Unit were proactively patrolling the area of Albany Street and Front Street when they located a pickup truck that was stolen. A female got out of the vehicle and went to a store where she got clothing in an attempt to change her appearance.
Officers followed the female for a short time before she was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation revealed her to be in possession of drugs, including more than 60 grams of crystal meth. Officers also seized various stolen identification and bank cards.
April Lessard, age 30, of Oshawa is facing 66 charges, including possession of credit card x 22, procure to be made, possess, transfer, sell – identity document of another x 27, fail to comply with probation order and possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
She was held for a bail hearing.
