Quinte WestOPP have laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.
On July 23, 2025 at approximately 9 p.m., a traffic complaint on Monogram Place, Quinte West, led Quinte West OPP to suspect a motorist may have been impaired.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Quinte West Detachment, where charges were laid.
Andrew Mancini, age 36, from Brighton, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on August 11, 2025. Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and licence suspended for 90 days.
