Northumberland OPP have charged an inmate following an incident at Warkworth Institution.
OPP received a report of threats made by an inmate toward a corrections officer at the facility on June 24, 2025.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued and the individual was charged on July 22.
A 38-year-old male inmate at Warkworth Institution has been charged with:
- Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
