Prince Edward County OPP say they have recovered the body of a young man who had been missing since Sunday while boating and swimming at East Lake.
Members of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located the body of the 20-year-old male from the Toronto area Tuesday afternoon.
They were assisted by members of Prince Edward County OPP and OPP Aviation Services.
Police say they will not be releasing the name of the deceased.
OPP are thanking members of the Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue Service and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Service for assistance during this search effort.
Investigations are continuing into two suspected drownings in East Lake.
Police responded to Cherry Beach Resort just before 6 p.m. on Saturday where members of Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue, Hastings-Quinte Paramedics and civilians were attempting life-saving measures on an individual.
The victim, a 51-year-old male from the Toronto area, was taken to hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
