Belleville police continue to investigate a weekend break and enter at a south-end apartment.
Officers responded to a break and enter in progress just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday on a report from a private security company monitoring the building that two unknown males had entered the lobby area without authorization.
Arriving officers observed the two suspects fleeing the scene on foot.
Both males were apprehended, however, they were identified and later released.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ask anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
