There are still details to work out, however, it has been confirmed that a Hindu Temple will be coming to Belleville.
The Swaminarayan faith (BAPS) will be the denomination of the temple in The Friendly City.
Sources to Quinte News indicate the community has purchased a building/property, with the sale expected to close this summer.
A renovation of the building will take place in August and we are told the goal is for the temple to open mid-September.
Opening celebrations for the new temple will attract hundreds of BAPS worshippers from across Canada and perhaps internationally.
The location and depth of renovation work on the building is expected to be released August 1.
