An arrest has been made in connection with an assault in Campbellford last week.
Northumberland OPP say the victim was seriously injured during the incident at a multiple-occupancy residence on Front Street South early on the morning of July 9.
The victim was taken to hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
The suspect was known to the victim.
On Sunday, policed arrested a 23-year-old female, of no fixed address, charging her with:
– Assault with a weapon
– Assault causing bodily harm
– Theft under $5,000
The accused, who will not be named to protect the identity of the victim, was held for a bail hearing.
