Northumberland OPP have laid an assault charge against a Brighton resident.
Just after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers received a complaint regarding an incident on Elizabeth Street in the Municipality of Brighton.
Police say there was a dispute between two persons and there were no injuries reported.
Fifty-year-old Shane Tighe of Brighton has been charged with assault.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in August.
