A Cobourg man is facing drug trafficking charges after Northumberland OPP investigated a suspicious vehicle.
On May 21, police received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked on Birch Road.
While officers were on their way to the location, they found a vehicle matching the suspicious car’s description and pulled it over. The driver was found to have a warrant out for his arrest.
The driver was arrested due to the warrant, and a search of the vehicle found 150 suspected opioid pills, 360 grams of suspected cocaine, and a large amount of cash.
The driver, 46-year-old Daniel Hulme from Cobourg, was charged on Thursday with possession of opioids and cocaine for trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
