The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has made their first quarter payment to Belleville, for hosting Shorelines Casino Belleville.
The payment was for $823,116.
Since the casino opened in January 2017, the city has received $23,146,701.
“OLG is a strong partner that provides substantial benefits to Belleville,” said Tyler Allsopp, Member of Provincial Parliament for Bay of Quinte. “In addition to the jobs at Shorelines Casino Belleville, important investments in our local community are made possible through OLG’s sharing of casino revenue.”
The quarterly payments are based on a formula in the municipality contribution agreement, using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the casino.
