Quinte West City Council received an update on the Community Fund Grant Policy at its meeting on Wednesday.
During the 2025 Community Fund intake, the city received 37 applications totalling $152,419.
Council approved staff’s recommendation that included 19 recipients totalling $76,550 in funding.
After the intake, city staff cross referenced the policy guidelines with the applications and found that more specific requirements and details were needed in the policy to better outline the objective and priority intentions of the policy.
In the update to council, staff added three changes to the policy:
- Added eligibility criteria to for-profit applicants
- Added eligible and ineligible expenses
- Added more clarity on objectives and priority requirements
Council approved receiving and updating the Community Fund Grant Policy.
