He adds, the population in the region has been steadily growing for the last five years.
Audio Player“The supply of homes hasn’t kept up with that increase in the population, so there is an absolute credible need for new home, new home construction.”
Koudsi added that housing construction starts increased year over year and the need for affordable home ownership is more important than ever.
Applicants are assessed based on three criteria: financial readiness, demonstrated need for safe and stable housing, and willingness to partner with Habitat PEH throughout the homeownership journey. Habitat PEH’s staff and volunteers work diligently to ensure each home is matched with the right family.
