Northumberland OPP, paramedics, and Cramahe Township firefighters responded to a fatal accident on CPKC railroad tracks Monday morning.
The collision between a train and truck occurred on Hunt Road between Brighton and Colborne shortly before 8 a.m.
Reports indicate the truck was overturned. The driver of the pickup truck, a 69-year-old man from Frankford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police investigation is ongoing, and the road was closed until just after 1pm. The road has now re-opened.
