Permits for the Belleville Caribbean Festival and Belleville Ribfest events were approved at a meeting of Belleville City Council on Monday.
Each application called for a temporary noise permit as well as waiving fees.
The Belleville Caribbean Festival was granted a temporary noise permit for Fete En Blancevent on Friday, August 15 at Victoria Park, and also for the Belleville Caribbean Festival Parade event on Saturday, August 16 in downtown Belleville and West Zwick’s Park from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In the case of Belleville Ribfest, it calls for a temporary noise permit for August 15, 16 and 17 at West Zwick’s Park from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The application fee and permit fee, in the amount of $225 for each event, were also waived.
