Belleville council will discuss the dollar amounts of fines for noise by-law infractions at its meeting Monday July 14.
A staff report suggests by-law officers resolve noise complaints without issuing fines at first, but levy them against repeat offenders.
All fines for infractions such as amplified music or revving vehicle engines would be set at $250.
The highest fine would be $500 for obstructing an officer.
