Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Quinte region.
The watch covers Belleville, Quinte West, and Northumberland County.
Potential thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours have the potential to become severe, with winds gusting to 100 km/h.
Residents are advised to seek shelter if a storm approaches. Potential hazards can include hail, blowing debris, and lightning strikes.
A previous Environment Canada heat warning also remains in effect.
