The Quinte West OPP has charged a driver with both suspended and impaired driving following a traffic stop.
On Thursday, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Front Street, Trenton.
During the investigation, a suspended driver was arrested for being impaired. The driver was subsequently transported to the detachment for further testing.
Ryan Lindsay, 23 years old, from Quinte West, was charged with operation while impaired, posession of a schedule one substance – cocaine, and two counts of driving while under suspension.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date, their vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence suspended for 90 days.
