Belleville police have charged a man with drug trafficking after an impaired driving investigation.
On Thursday, officers responded to a call for erratic driving in the north end of the city.
Officers found the suspect vehicle and the man driving in a parking lot on Bell Blvd.
During an investigation, officers learned that the man was impaired by drugs and was also prohibited from driving.
Douglas Kelly, a 32-year-old Trenton man, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule One substance for trafficking, operation while impaired, operation while prohibited by criminal code, and driving while under suspension.
He was released on an undertaking, and is scheduled to appear in court in August.
