A group of police officers will be hitting the road on bikes this weekend in eastern Ontario in remembrance of officers who have died in the line of duty.
The officers will be participating in the Tour De Force – Heroes In Life Cycling Series, with proceeds going to the Survivors of Law Enforcement and the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation.
The rides will start on Saturday at Kingston police headquarters on Division Street, and will include stops at the Gananoque Police Station on Herbert Street and the Leeds County OPP Detachment on County Road 3.
The route will include numerous roadways, including John Counter Blvd, Waaban Crossing, Hwy 15, Hwy 2, Stone St. North, County Rd 32, Woodburn Rd, Hitchcock Rd, Joyceville Rd, Middle Rd, John F Scott Rd, Kingston Mills Rd and Battersea Rd.
Riders will be accompanied by police cruisers and motorcycles from the various services.
