The person at the helm did not have a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. The investigation continued and an approved alcohol screening device was utilized. As a result, the individual was transported back to shore and taken to the detachment for further testing.
Zoe Langlois, age 23 of Ottawa, has been charged with:

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for seven days.
An approved screening device was also utilized for the individual who attended the Bancroft Detachment to pick up the accused. That person was issued an immediate three-day licence suspension for registering in the warning range for alcohol consumption.
