The June building report is out for Prince Edward County and it’s showing an increase in construction compared to the previous year.
Sixty-two permits were issued for construction in June, with 13 of those permits for residential units. In June of 2024, only 56 permits were approved which included only five new residential units.
Of the 13 units approved in June, nine were single detached homes, and four were secondary suites.
The total value of the construction was $13,753,577, up from June 2024 which had a total of only $5,306,811.
