A Quinte West man will serve another two-and-a- half years in prison after being found guilty of assault and other charges following an incident inside a washroom at a Trenton restaurant in March.
Brian Vachon, 40 years of age when he was arrested, was recently sentenced to two years and eleven months in jail minus five months of pre-sentence custody.
He was also handed a lifetime weapons prohibition and must provide a DNA sample.
He had been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, forcible confinement, and failing to comply with a probation order after a holding a woman hostage for a time at Tim Hortons on Division Street.
