Belleville police laid impaired driving charges after a motorist allegedly left the scene of a collision Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the area of Queen and John streets around 5:45 p.m. where a car had driven over bushes in a yard, struck another vehicle, and then fled the scene.
Police located a damaged vehicle and driver nearby.
In addition to being impaired, the male was in breach of his probation by operating a vehicle.
A 36-year-old unidentified Belleville resident was arrested and charged with:
