Numerous background studies have been completed over the past three years and on Monday, Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will ask for public input on a proposed huge resort/residential development on the Black Bear Ridge Golf Course property.
The developers are asking for official plan and zoning amendments that would eventually allow the construction of over 3,000 residential units, resort accommodations, and recreational facilities on 370 hectares of land on Harmony Road.
The development would take decades to complete but phase one would involve land on the south end of the property.
The developers have held several public information sessions in the past.
No decision on the application will be made and the Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 at City Hall.
The meeting will be livestreamed on the city’s Youtube channel.
