Throughout July, officers from Quinte West OPP and the Belleville Police Service will be doing focused patrols along Old Highway 2.
Officers will be patrolling from RCAF Road to Tyendinaga, as well as on Dundas Street in Belleville.
Their focus will be on the “Big Four” contributing factors in serious accidents, with a goal of improving road safety.
Those four factors are aggressive driving/speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and failure to properly wear a seat belt.
OPP are reminding all drivers that road safety is a shared responsibility, and ask drivers to drive responsibly.
