Quinte West OPP, firefighters, and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services were busy on Canada Day night.
At 9:45 p.m. there was a car fire on Marsh Hill Road and one hour later a male was hit by a car on Stockdale Road between the roundabout in Trenton and Miron Road.
The male was rushed to Kingston General Hospital.
Stockdale Road was closed until around 4 o’clock this morning.
Meanwhile there was a collision between a pickup truck and a bicyclist on Old Highway 2 in the village of Colborne late Tuesday night.
The highway was closed for several hours for an investigation.
