A collision involving a pickup truck and a bicycle that occurred on County Road 2 near Colborne is now being investigated as a fatal.
Northumberland County OPP responded to the collision on County Road 2, between Colton Street and Jackson Drive, at around 11:15 p.m. on Canada Day.
As a result of the collision, the cyclist, a 58-year-old male from the Towsnhip of Cramahe, is deceased.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators and an OPP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation and an update will be provided when available.
The road was closed until shortly after 7:30 a.m. this morning.
