A Quinte West resident was charged with break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle.
On June 29 at 9 a.m., Belleville police were notified that an unreported pickup truck stolen from a business in the city’s north end was located in Grafton by OPP.
It was later confirmed that the business had been broken into overnight, and that the truck was stolen by driving it through a fence on the property.
A man was found inside the stolen truck when it was located.
Twenty-eight-year-old Brandon Dubblestein from Quinte West was charged with the following:
- Break and enter
- Theft of a motor vehicle
- Mischief under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Dubblestein was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in August 2025.
