The City of Quinte West, in partnership with the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, has hosted a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony to mark Canadian Multiculturalism Day.
The ceremony welcomed 45 new Canadians who took the Oath of Citizenship and officially became Canadian citizens.
After three consecutive years of hosting a Canadian Citizenship ceremony, Quinte West has welcomed over 100 new Canadians as they received their citizenship.
A Citizenship Ceremony is a rite of passage that celebrates the moment someone becomes a Canadian citizen, and is the final step in that process. During the ceremony, the new citizens received a Canadian Citizenship Certificate.
