When asked if there was something she could change about Canada, Van Dyke said that more affordable housing is essential.
“Probably the most boring answer in pageant history,” said Van Dyke. “It’s essential to create mixed communities that include low-income, geared-to-income, and affordable housing. By integrating these housing types, we can eliminate the social stigma associated with lower incomes.”
